This is another shining hopeful summer, with touching tears for the old beloved Mavs.

Always long story about reaching out to the peak of success. Let alone the shame of 2006, each time they were blacked down by the Warriors, the Spurs, the Nuggets, Like Nelson said it’s getting a new scar on the back. Even though they are as old as the Celtics, with some of the best sophisticates, they were always regarded a retiring team rather than a veteran one. As for the majority, this "one-run" team, this soft team, will keep being kicked ass out this summer.

And then, everybody knows, they win the championship. The Pacers, the Lakers, the Thunder, the Heat, those are the ones being kicked ass out, by the Dallas Mavericks.

    Dirk, you’re that big heart.

Without palatial admiring words, I just wanna say, you’re just that kind of German, theoretically and practically. You’re undefeatable.

Here’s a dictation I do from the parade interview.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    interviewer: The MVP…that’s what we’re talking about……you know…

    ( audience shouting MVP.....)

interviewer: when I am thinking how to introduce Dirk, this is the thing I finally arrived that, all the numbers that dirk has climbed up for the peak speaks for themselves in the internet, all the big shots he hit in his career in the last two months, they are all on our DVRs at home right now, it's not the thing you can read on the nba.com on dirk or on the highlight view of 2011 championship, the reason we want it for dirk is because of his heart, his class, his work ethic, his humility, his sense of humor, his respect for game, his respect for people. That's why we want the championship for the Dallas Mavericks and for Dirk Nowitzki.

    (audience cheering)

interviewer:........we saw this in the end of Game 6, and you went behind and composed yourself, or we see you light up here, it's a long way from that bow-head haircut with the earring you first time show up here, isn't it?

Dirk: I mean, it's a pretty amazing ride, amazing journey, I was lucky to spend 13 years with the greatest fans in the NBA…... Yeah, it’s been a lot of ups and, a lot of downs so this is the top of the iceberg, and I feel absolutely amazing.

interviewer:……Oh I don’t even know what I can ask. What's the best moment of this long run, but beyond the exit room, winning the game, raising the trophy, just give us something that maybe none of us can see to make this as special as beyond over this.

Dirk: Wow, I think the most proud I am of the whole team is that, there is everyone on the staff of these 15 people contributed some point in this game in this playoffs, one point that one player on the bench change the momentum of the game, and change the series that way, I got so much respect and I am so proud of the team.

interviewer: Last summer, there are people making moves, try to join up with other people, try to win a championship that way, you didn't do it, you wouldn't do it, why won’t you do that?

Dirk: Well, I think it's pretty clear that we felt me and Marc, by the way it's obvious that Marc has been so loyal to me for 13 years now. And I tell the story all the time that when I first step in the Mavericks with free agency, he said one sentence, he said "hey we are in the same boat, we stay together." And ultimately we had a emotional meeting for our own half, we'll give another shot, give another try, bring some veterans like we have, and get it done with class, so it was amazing.

interviewer: The harder the climb the sweeter the victory, right?

Dirk: Yeah. May if you go through 13 years and keep putting the work on and finally at the top of the world, it's a amazing feeling.

interviewer: Beckenbauer, Boris Becker, Michael Schumacher, Dirk Nowitzki, humble guy from Germany, what is that feel to among the greatest German athletes to ever played in their sports.

Dirk: I mean, it's surreal. Those names in Germany, it's obvious that everybody adores. It's weird, you know, I came here when I was 19, did not know what to expect, had a bow-cut, that bad earring, that pinky ring, so it's a bad look, I didn't really know...(= =)...I didn't know what to expect, like I mention, it's an amazing ride. And you guys are with me every step on the way, so it's an amazing way, that's for our fans, and obviously the team, coach Carlisle is great, what people don't see that the support staffs stands behind us, everybody works in the tailor street, our trainers, our equipment managers, our doctors, they are all part of this, so this is for you guys, and I love you.

interviewer: Everybody knows your work ethic, you gonna take some downtime and join us a little bit?

Dirk: You know, that's the funny thing. Holger, everybody knows that madman, the Mavs scientist, he told me before the Game 6,"if you win tomorrow on Game 6, you will have one day off". So that's my motivation that I close it up in Game 6 so I can get a day off.

interviewer: Well, the sponsor, American Airline wants to give you a little bit downtime and your birthday present. Dirk's birthday is Sunday! So say happy birthday to Dirk you all know how to do that.

    Dirk: Thank you guys!

    (leaving the seat)

interviewer: Oh, you are not done yet.

Dirk: Oh wow, what else is on there?

interviewer: Just wait, but wait, there's more. A special Mavs present for you......

(Marc comes by and steals the Mic)

Marc: Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday dear Dirk...Happy birthday to you!

(with the song singing by the 20,000 people in the stadium, and Dirk conducting)

interviewer: Ok, just 20,000 people say happy birthday to you!

    Dirk: Oh, that's pretty sweet.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can see that joy through your looming tears, but only yourself know the hardship and the efforts behind. Bittersweet, isn’t it?

“Dreams being laughed at are worth of more efforts to fulfill.” That’s what I learn from all of you guys. I’ve never talked to anybody that I really wanna live and study in Germany. I don’t know if this is a being-laughed-at dream for me, but I am kinda obsessed with nearly everything in this country. So far, I don’t know what to expect, I wouldn’t give this burden to my parents. All I can do is being confident to myself and keeping trying. Like Luanne said, you’ll never know if you’re making the right choice ‘cause you never know if another road is more suitable for you. I may not achieve a lot like Dirk, but I try to stick to the dream like him, having the goal inside as the momentum to proceed, regardless of the results.

Happy holiday to all of you.
